Found in Montpellier, it came out of a masia in Catalonia and dates to the 19th century, a wide plank top on turned legs braced low by an H-stretcher worn soft where feet have rested against it. The masia was the stone farmhouse at the heart of rural Catalan life, often held by the same family for centuries, and the dining table was the one piece the whole household passed through daily.
