Found in Montpellier, it dates to the 20th century, a thick rectangular top on two shaped trestle feet joined by a single stretcher, the wood stripped back to a pale honey. The trestle form is one of the oldest ways to build a table, the top resting on the base and pegged through the stretcher so it could be taken apart and moved when it needed to be.
