This one’s special. A 19th c. dark wood coffee table made from solid mulberry - an incredibly rare hardwood, especially in Provence. Mulberry trees were once planted across the region to feed silkworms, but furniture made from them? Almost unheard of. It’s dense, rich, and ages beautifully, which is exactly what’s happened here. There’s a single drawer, perfect for hiding remote controls, bits and bobs or matches for a fireplace. Sylvie loves it styled with oversized art books and a single vessel, low to the ground and impossible to ignore.
