Found in Avignon, this foldable oval coffee table features classic gateleg supports that allow each side to drop down, shifting it from a generous oval into a long, low rectangular form. It borrows its clever spirit from antique wine-tasting tables, which were designed to adapt to tight cellars, crowded gatherings, and whatever the day required. Crafted in the 19th century, the turned legs and warm worn surface speak to years of use and care.

This piece measures 15.5" deep when leaves are down. The original finish has been worn down in places. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
