An oval sweep of oak like this feels instantly welcoming. Found in Avignon, it was built low and generous, with a parquet top that shows off careful joinery and stout carved legs that give it a wonderfully grounded presence. At 17.5 inches tall, it sits right in that sweet spot for a coffee table. In a living room, it becomes the natural landing place for art books, snacks, conversations, and the occasional bouquet. Sylvie loves the way its quiet curves soften a space while still carrying the character of old French workshops.
