Alsace Pot

France, 19th Century

$95

Antique

One-Of-A-Kind

Exactly As Pictured

Found in Alsace and dating to the 19th century, this stoneware pot comes from a region known for its gray clay and cobalt brushwork, often made in villages like Betschdorf where these techniques have been passed down for generations. The form is thick and grounded, finished in a salt glaze with that signature blue mark applied by hand before firing. You see it in the slight variation at the rim and the way the glaze settles across the surface. Sylvie keeps one near the stove with wooden spoons or lets it sit on a shelf where that blue does the talking.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
