Introducing the main character of the collection. This Napoleon III settee came from a château salon in the middle of France, where seating was arranged for visiting, not television. The deep blue velvet curves inward with a scalloped, almost shell-like back and thick padded edges, finished with a long fringe along the base. Furniture of this period was made to be inviting from every angle, pulled slightly away from the wall so people could gather around it, talk, and stay longer than they planned. Sylvie places it where people naturally drift at the end of the evening, when conversations split into smaller ones and nobody quite wants to go to bed yet.
Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
