We've never found a workbench quite like this one. This 1950s oak workbench, found in Avignon, still carries its working life across the top. There are old tool holes, cuts, and worn edges, along with paint flecks and the original metal hardware. It once sat in a small workshop where boards were planed and repairs handled as they came up. Nothing about it was decorative. The surface simply recorded the work. Sylvie loves it as a kitchen island or entry console, where the weight and texture change the whole feel of the room.
