This twentieth century French metal magazine rack, found in Carpentras, is all about the scrollwork, with tightly coiled wire spirals layered across both sides in an almost lace like pattern. It would have sat beside a fireside chair or in a sitting room, holding journals, post, or the morning paper within easy reach. Sylvie loves it styled with a stack of art books and a folded broadsheet, turning everyday reading into part of the décor.
