This one comes out of the rhythm of Alpine homes. Found in the Alps and dating to the 19th century, it was built for the “stube,” the main living space where cooking, eating, and daily life all happened. The upper cabinet kept more sensitive goods tucked away - flour, linens, anything worth protecting - while the open shelves below held what stayed in rotation. It’s all solid wood, built locally and meant to last, with carved door panels and scalloped edges that nod to regional craft. The wear sits right where it should. Sylvie keeps it in a kitchen or dining space, stacked and slightly overfilled.
