Sunday roasts, extra chairs pulled in, one more place set at the last minute. This 19th century oval dining table extends with two leaves, transforming from a generous round into a long, elegant oval built for a crowd. The leaves, having been used less frequently over the years, sit slightly darker than the central top, a subtle record of how the table evolved with its family. Crafted in solid wood with turned legs and a cross stretcher base, it is both sculptural and deeply practical, sturdy enough for daily life and special occasions alike. Originally made to adapt to gatherings of varying size, it still does exactly that, ready to expand whenever the guest list grows.
