A treasure that feels like it came straight from the pages of a fairytale. This 19th-century Norman hutch came from a château in Normandy and still carries that feeling with it. The upper cabinet opens behind curved glass doors framed by carved scrollwork and a central rosette crest, while the lower cupboard hides deeper storage behind paneled doors. Pieces like this stood in dining rooms and main living spaces, holding faience plates, glasses, and the serving pieces brought out when the table was set. You can imagine it lit by evening light, doors opened while dishes were taken down and put away again after. Today,Sylvie keeps the shelves simple - a few plates, a bowl, maybe a single piece of pottery - and lets the carving do the rest.
