This beautiful gilt mirror was found in Carpentras and dates to the early 20th century. Its form draws directly from earlier Louis XV–inspired designs, with exaggerated scrolls, acanthus leaves, and that open, almost fluid silhouette that feels more carved than constructed. The frame is wood with a gilt finish, shaped in deep relief so the curves catch light from every angle, while the inner mirror sits slightly recessed, giving the whole piece a sense of depth. Sylvie loves it above a bed, where it catches the morning sunshine.
