Antique One-Of-A-Kind Sylvie Favorite

A hundred years of letters and lists have marked the top. Found in Avignon and dating to the 19th century, this small writing table has a single drawer under a breadboard-edged top, raised on shaped turned legs braced by a low stretcher and gone a deep, warm brown. A table this size was where a household did its writing, the letters and the accounts and the lists, everything it needed kept in the one shallow drawer within reach. Sylvie would set it against a wall as a writing desk, a lamp and a stack of books on top, or use it as a small console in a hall.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.

Notes from Sylvie:

Dear collector, as with many antiques, this piece may show signs of its age, including subtle repairs, a bit of movement, cracks, scratches, small holes, and surface variation from years of use. The glossy wood finish shows some nicks, stains, and water marks, with small splits across the tabletop. The hardware has some rust patina, and the drawer interior is unfinished wood.
