Antique One-Of-A-Kind Exactly As Pictured

This one has gone a deep honey color with age. Collected around the Rhône-Alpes, it has softly rounded shoulders and a short handle drilled to hang, its whole face finely crosshatched with knife marks. A board like it worked every day in a French kitchen, cutting the bread and whatever came with it, and a surface this evenly marked took a lifetime of meals to earn. Sylvie props it on the counter against the backsplash, or carries it to the table piled with bread and fruit.
