17th c. Tapestry Stool - II
France, 17th Century
$1,595
There’s something magnetic about a stool that’s been upholstered in true 17th-century tapestry. Workshops of the time treated these textiles like small artworks, weaving sturdy wool blends that could handle being sat on while still showing off intricate patterns and dye work. Sylvie loves it as an accent seat, a spot for a stack of books, or a small companion to a favorite armchair.

Dear collector this piece wiggles side to side a bit, but its still perfectly functional. There are loose threads as shown in the images. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
