Hard To Find

Lyon gave us silk, gastronomy, and this table. We’re grateful for all three. This 19th-century Chestnut table, once a workhorse in a farmhouse kitchen outside Lyon, has been cut down to a generous coffee table while keeping every ounce of its original character. The three drawers with brass pulls once held kitchen essentials, and today they’re just as ready for stashing remotes, matches, or whatever clutter you want out of sight. Sylvie likes it in front of a linen sofa, where the drawers add a secret practicality, and the wood grain does all the talking.
