What a beauty! This Baumann fan-back armchair, made in France in the 1960s or 70s, features the elegant curves and airy silhouette that made Baumann a household name. The company, founded in 1901 by Swiss-born Emile Baumann, became known for their bentwood mastery—starting with children’s chairs and evolving into some of the most beloved bistro and lounge seating in France. Sylvie keeps this one in her living room with an embroidered cushion and a few textiles draped over the back, always changing with the seasons.
