French Farm Bench

France, 20th Century

$695

Antique One-Of-A-Kind Wood

Found in Lille and dating to the early 20th century, this French bench is a primitive piece built for a working farmhouse. Benches like this lived pulled up to a long kitchen table, or set by the door in summer where someone sat to pull off their boots after coming in from the fields. The plank has worn pale and smooth down the middle from decades of constant use. Sylvie places it in an entryway under a row of coat hooks, with a basket of boots underneath and a folded throw on top.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
