Antique Jaw Dropper One-Of-A-Kind Oh So French!

Before it was a coffee table, it was a farm table, cut down from full standing height to sit low in a living room. Found in Amiens and dating to the 20th century, it is a round table with two folding leaves, standing on turned legs. The leaves drop down to narrow the table so it can tuck against a wall, then lift back to a full round top when the room fills, the same trick that once let a farm table grow and shrink to the day's work. Sylvie sets it in front of the sofa with a stack of books, a vase of flowers, and all her favorite bits and bobs.

Dear collector, as with many antiques, this piece may show subtle repairs, movement, cracks, scratches, small holes, and surface variation from years of use. When folded, the width is 25.5". The tongue-and-groove top has been sanded back to raw, unfinished wood, with visible grain and scrapes across the surface.
