Antique One-Of-A-Kind Rare

Every trade had its own furniture, built for one job and no other, and this was a piece made for sorting. Found in Belgium and dating to the late 19th century, it stands on a splayed frame with a solid top and a run of open, graduated shelves down each side. The tiered shelves let whatever was being sorted be laid out and kept apart, each level in easy reach, and working pieces like this were built for the workroom rather than the parlor, which is why so few survive. Sylvie stands it by a window with tall lilies on top, the shelves below filled with books and small things that need a home.

Dear collector, as with many antiques, this piece may show signs of its age, including subtle repairs, a bit of movement, cracks, scratches, small holes, and surface variation from years of use. The surface has small holes, a crack through the center, and areas of scraping from years of use. The piece has a slight wobble consistent with its age.
