Bound up as "Les Chefs-d'Œuvre des Grands Romanciers," these volumes gather the masterpieces of the great 19th-century French novelists into one collection. Dating to the 19th century, each is bound in deep blue and gold, the covers embossed with figures and scrollwork and the titles stamped in gilt. The great romanciers were the storytellers everyone read, the Hugos and Balzacs and Dumas of the age, and a set like this put a whole century of French literature on a single shelf. Sylvie stacks a few on a table and lines the rest along a shelf, their blue spines together, and offers them by the volume so you can take one or gather the whole run.

Notes from Sylvie:
Dear collector, these pieces have been used for many years, and some pages may be ripped or torn. We love how many hands have handled them. Each book will vary in wear, binding condition, coloration, and other details.
