Vintage Wood Sylvie Favorite

Found in Belgium and made in the mid-century, these sculptural chairs have real presence, each a tall shaped back with one bold triangular cutout above a solid seat and four splayed legs. The triangle is a handhold, an old idea in a country chair, cut so it could be pulled from the table or carried in one hand. Sylvie would gather them around a kitchen table or set one alone at a desk, four in all and each sold on its own.
