One-Of-A-Kind

Collectors Antique Confit Pot

France, 19th Century

$445

Once essential in old French kitchens, confit pots were used to preserve rich foods like duck confit - hence the name, from confire, meaning “to preserve.” This one is especially rare, combining green and yellow glaze in a spectacular finish we’ve never seen before. With a half-glazed top and unglazed bottom, it was once buried in cool cellars - now it’s just as at home on a kitchen windowsill or anchoring a dining or coffee table. Exactly as pictured.
