Proof that the best seats in the house aren’t always the fancy ones. This 19th-century bench from Aix-en-Provence is one of our favorites we've ever found. Once likely used in a workshop or rural kitchen, its weathered plank seat and hand-cut supports show the craftsmanship of Provence. Sylvie loves it as an entryway perch for stacking books or shoes.
