18th c. Spanish Bench

Sylvie still remembers meeting her very first dealer in Béziers - what started as a transaction has turned into a friendship. He spends months roaming the Catalonian countryside, pulling treasures out of weathered masias, and somehow always turns up with pieces that surprise. This 18th-century oak church bench is one of his finds, and it’s as rare as they come. Hand-carved from thick planks of dark oak featuring genius storage under its seat. Sylvie imagines it now in an entryway or beside a bed, holding blankets or books inside and standing like a small architectural statement piece in the room. Exactly as pictured.
