One-Of-A-Kind

This Epine U & C gravy boat may look like a two-piece set, but it’s actually a one-piece wonder. Made by Utzschneider & Co. in Sarreguemines, a French pottery house famous for its delicate faïence, it dates to the early 1900s when every meal was a chance to show off good taste. The “Epine” pattern’s fine blue florals were a signature of U & C’s romantic flair, mixing elegance with everyday charm. Sylvie says it proves the French mastered the art of making even gravy feel a little glamorous.
