Made when furniture was expected to serve generations, not seasons. Found in Avignon and originally from a bastide near Mouriès, this early 20th-century French buffet shows the refined simplicity of Provençal craftsmanship. The three paneled doors are gently arched, the wood worn to a soft matte tone that still carries traces of old wax and handwork. Inside, blue floral fabric lines the shelves in a charming contrast to the pale exterior, a detail that feels distinctly French. It still has its original key, which still functions. Sylvie keeps hers filled with linens and a mix of antique and hand made ceramics.
