Found in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and dating to the early 20th century, this hand-carved wooden cutting board carries the honest wear of daily farmhouse use, from sliced loaves to generous wedges of something pungent and French. Its thick profile, squared form, and simple handle with hanging cord give it a grounded, utilitarian presence that feels as relevant now as it did a century ago. Once a hardworking kitchen staple, it now earns its place piled high with Comté or chèvre, or leaning casually against a backsplash like it owns the room.
