18th c. Oak Dresser
France, 19th Century
$2,995
The most beautiful dresser we ever did find. This 18th century oak dresser brings all the French grandeur with its carved cabriole legs, Louis XV curves, and heavy brass handles now kissed with a green patina. Restored by an old-world craftsman, it still shows the repairs on the bottom left and top right drawers, proof of centuries of use while remaining perfectly functional today. Originally built for noble households where storage was as much about display as practicality, Sylvie now envisions it as a bedroom anchor for folded knits, a living room sideboard stacked with records, or even an entryway statement that hides the daily clutter with style.
