This early Catalonian chest carries all the charm of its age, from the worn black paint to the original brass hardware that has stayed with it for centuries. Built in the late 1700s, it was likely part of a bedroom suite or rural household storage, made in the straightforward, hardworking style typical of northern Spain. Today it makes an excellent bedside piece or a couch-side table, with three drawers that are just the right size for keeping the essentials close at hand.
