This one came home with us from a private Provençal bastide - the kind of place that feels more like a museum than a house. We were invited in by its owner Simon, and this print was one of those pieces you don’t leave behind. Dating to the early 20th century, the subject is richly detailed and slightly dramatic, with birds from a hunt layered and arranged almost sculpturally across the page. What really makes it sing is the frame: original, softly worn gilt with just enough age showing at the corners to keep it from feeling formal. Sylvie loves this leaned on a shelf or hung where it can be taken in slowly.
Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
