19th c. Wrought Iron Fruit Stand

This two-tier wrought iron fruit stand comes straight from a private Provençal collection, where Simon welcomed Sylvie into his bastide and told her to choose wisely. Crafted in the 19th century, the scrolling metalwork is wonderfully expressive, the kind of hand-forged detail meant to air out apples, grapes, figs, or whatever bounty returned from the weekly market. Sylvie loves it on a kitchen counter loaded with produce, or as a hallway catch-all for gloves and scarves that deserve a prettier landing spot.
