Found in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and dating to the mid-20th century, this hand-carved demi-lune tripod stool is not one we see every day. The half-moon seat is covered in simple foliate carving and a sunburst center, likely done by a local maker rather than a factory. Three turned legs give it that steady farmhouse stance, light enough to move wherever it was needed. Sylvie keeps it beside a low table with a stack of books, letting the carved top do the work.
