The perfect cupboard doesn't exis...This 19th-century cupboard, recently sanded to reveal its natural tone, is likely walnut or chestnut, with flame-like figuring across the raised panels, simple molded frames, and a gently scalloped apron set on cabriole feet. Cupboards like this stood along the main wall of the house, opened each morning for dishes or linens and closed again at the end of the day. Everything was kept inside and within reach. Today it works beautifully in bedroom or kitchen, where the lighter wood and active grain bring texture and warmth to your space.
