Oh, this little stool! Shaped like a demi-lune and perched on bold bobbin legs, it comes from a 20th-century French farmhouse where it served as a low milking stool or work perch near the hearth. Its compact design made it easy to move from room to room, while the turned legs added a bit of flair to everyday use. Sylvie keeps one beside the tub for a book and bath salts, or by a reading chair with a steaming mug and whatever novel she’s deep in.
