Sylvie fell for this one immediately. Found in Avignon, this 19th-century sideboard has a softly shaped parquet top and three center drawers with their original metal pulls. Open side shelves sit between rounded supports, all raised on slender cabriole legs. Pieces like this held linens and silver while leaving room to display ceramics or serving pieces. Sylvie uses it in an entry or dining room, where it adds storage without feeling heavy.
