Found in Avignon and originally from the Luberon, this late 19th century corner cupboard would have been made to tuck neatly into the unused corners of a kitchen or dining room, storing everything from stacked plates to preserved goods within easy reach. Built in solid wood with a curved front and paneled doors, the shape is what makes it - softly angled to fit the room rather than fight it. The carved apron at the base and simple interior shelving reflect the kind of provincial craftsmanship that prioritized practicality, but never skipped the details entirely. Sylvie loves it in a corner of the bedroom, filled with linens.
