Found in Avignon and originally from the French Alps, this 19th century French side table is a small tripod guéridon, the round-topped pedestal table made for a corner of a country room. The round top sits on a single turned column, which splays at the base into three curved legs that keep it steady on an uneven floor. Sylvie places it beside an armchair with a vase full of freshly picked flowers on top.
