19th c. Bobbin Side Table

France, 19th Century

$995

Antique One-Of-A-Kind Hard To Find

Somewhere in a small Avignon apartment, a side table like this lived next to a velvet armchair and held a glass of pastis every evening for forty years. This 19th-century French side table was built in the bobbin tradition, four legs fully turned in stacked rounds and joined low by a matching X-stretcher, the rhythm running everywhere down to the small turned feet on the floor. Sylvie sets it beside a deep armchair with a lamp, a small stack of books for the long evening ahead.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
