Antique One-Of-A-Kind Sylvie Favorite Rare

Every shoemaker worked surrounded by small things, the tacks and awls and waxed thread and wooden lasts that the trade ran on. Found in Lille, this 19th-century shoemaker's cupboard is tall and narrow, a glazed door over open shelves up top and four deep drawers below for everything that needed sorting. The glass was practical rather than decorative, keeping finished work and fragile tools visible and out of the dust while the drawers held the rest of the workshop in order. Sylvie stands it in a bedroom with folded linens behind the glass and the drawers kept for the small things that never have a home.

This piece has exposed nails on the top layer of trim, signs of repair via wood filler, scratches, and expected wear do to it’s age.
