French Marble Mortar

France, 19th Century

$395

Antique

Exactly As Pictured

One-Of-A-Kind

From France and dating to the 19th century, this large stone mortar would have been a constant presence in the kitchen, used for grinding garlic, herbs, and spices into pastes by hand. The form is deeply sculptural, with thick, hand-shaped sides that flare outward into subtle grips, making it easier to steady during use. Sylvie loves it kept within reach on the counter, ready for use or holding its place as it always has.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
