Lyon Teapot

Vintage Kitchen Must Have Styling Essential

A café teapot poured all day long, sturdy and unfussy and always ready for the next table. Found in Amiens but made in Lyon, it keeps the honest shape of a working café pot, a tapered body, a straight spout, a looped handle, and a little knob on the lid. Café china like this was made to be used hard and replaced without a thought, which is why so few of the simple ones survived to become the pretty thing on a shelf. Sylvie would keep it out for tea, or fill it with a handful of flowers and let it be the quiet thing on the table.
