One-Of-A-Kind
Antique Water Vessel - White
France, 20th Century
$155
Once an everyday essential in the kitchens of Aix-en-Provence, this terracotta water vessel was crafted to keep water cool before refrigeration. The matte white glaze, worn in places to reveal the raw clay beneath, speaks to years of use—perhaps once carried from a village well or resting in a shaded courtyard. Now, its sculptural form makes a statement wherever it lands, whether on a console, a kitchen counter, or as a vase for cut flowers from the garden.
