This is one Sylvie always picks up when she finds it. Discovered near Avignon, this antique cutting board was hand-carved from a single piece of wood and used daily in a working kitchen, likely for bread, cheese, and whatever else was being prepared that day. The shape is simple but distinct, with a notched handle and original cord still tied through for hanging - meant to live within reach and then go straight back on the wall. Sylvie loves it leaned against a backsplash or hung on a hook, pulled down when needed and left out the rest of the time.
