We discovered this cast iron urn in a derelict warehouse filled with forgotten estate treasures, where a spirited seller named Lou Lou walked us through years of history packed into every corner. With its ornate handles and weathered surface, you can almost picture it once sitting in a grand garden or entryway, a quiet witness to the comings and goings of a stately home. Now, its sturdy form and intricate details make it a piece rich with character, carrying a bit of that old estate’s mystery with it.

Marseille, the vibrant port city of the Mediterranean, is a place where history, culture, and tradition collide. Founded over 2,600 years ago, Marseille is one of France’s oldest cities, with a rich tapestry woven from its diverse influences—Greek, Roman, and beyond. The city’s bustling markets, colorful neighborhoods, and sun-soaked coastline have long been a melting pot of ideas, artistry, and craftsmanship.

The surrounding Provençal landscapes, with their olive groves, terracotta rooftops, and rugged coastline, offer a glimpse into the soul of Southern France. It’s here, in and around Marseille, that we uncovered our latest collection of antiques—pieces that speak to the city’s maritime spirit and eclectic soul.

Sylvie rummaged through dusty, forgotten warehouses, met with third generation antique dealers and found herself wandering through vibrant seaside markets to curate this collection.
