Sylvie found this hard to find bowl in Catalonia, however, she originated from Quart, Spain. The Lebrillo bowl was originally used for making food, usually sausages in 1850, the good old days. This stunning hand sculpted bowl shows signs of use with perfect chips and beautiful patina.

Catalonia, a region rich in history and culture, has long been known for its distinct identity within Spain. From its medieval origins as a powerful principality to its modern-day status as an autonomous community, Catalonia has preserved its unique traditions and language.

A key feature of the Catalonian countryside is the Masia, traditional farmhouses dating back centuries, often serving as the heart of agricultural life. These stone-built structures, with their thick walls and rustic charm, were designed to be self-sufficient, housing families, livestock, and crops under one roof.

This particular item was unearthed in a 1750 Masia, a place steeped in history, where generations have passed down stories and traditions, making it a true artifact of Catalonia’s enduring heritage.
