Tapestry - The Forest

We had to save her! Framed in solid wood and found in Vauvert, this late 19th-century French tapestry features a woodland scene in saturated olive, mustard, and pine green tones, with winding vines, feathery leaves, and a hint of architectural structure in the distance. The threads are thick and lush, woven in that perfectly imperfect style we can’t resist. When Sylvie discovered it, the tapestry frame had suffered a bit = but the scene was too good to leave behind, so we secured it to new wood and gave it a second life. Now it’s ready to be admired once again, ideally forever.
