Lyon gave us silk, gastronomy, and this table. We’re grateful for all three. This 19th-century pine table was originally used in a farmhouse kitchen outside Lyon - built for meals, messes, and everything in between. Recently cut down to a beautifully sized coffee table, it still carries the weight and warmth of its original purpose. The wide plank top shows the kind of wear that comes from real daily life: flour dust, hot pots, elbows on wood. Sylvie styles it in front of a deep linen sofa with nothing but a book and a bowl - let the grain do the talking.
