Sylvie has entered her basket era. Straight from the fields of Pézenas, these hand-woven baskets once made the rounds for berry picking. the weave is thick, uneven in the best way, with a single sturdy handle that’s seen plenty of summers. The patina is all natural — years of use under sun and shade. Sylvie uses instead of a purse (think Jane Birkin) for grocery store or farmers market outings and keeps it in the kitchen piled high with lemons. Also looks just as good left empty on a table, handle arched like a little piece of sculpture. We have several baskets (two pictured), some are entirely willow, others are a mix of willow and lighter colored reed.
